-
We’ll arrange a convenient meeting point for you, based on where you live, and you’ll be picked up and dropped off at the beginning and end of expedition.
-
Yes. The Pendragon Project’s mission is to remove the barriers that prevent young people from accessing the amazing benefits that outdoor adventure can provide. We reinvest the profits from our team adventure business to fund our expeditions because we believe that every young person should be able to go on an adventure, regardless of how much money they have or the challenges they face in their lives.
-
No, and that’s key to the experience! Our expeditions are digital detoxes, giving our groups the opportunity to switch off and be in the moment. We’ll collect your phone and it will be kept secure and returned to you on the last day.
Our phones are designed to constantly connect us to the online world. We are bombarded by messages and adverts - it is healthy to have a break.
By switching off from the digital world for a few days, you can experience reduced anxiety and stress, better sleep and concentration, and a fresh appreciation for the people and environment around you.
It might sound awful to not have your phone, but trust us, you’ll be surprised how much you WON’T miss it!
Expedition leaders will have access to a phone for emergencies and this contact number will be given to your youth worker/organisation and family contact, should an important message need to be passed to you.
-
We will work with all young people who want to come on expedition to understand what help or assistance you may need to take part.
We’ll do everything we can to ensure you can take part fully and safely.
If you want to speak to us more about what is involved, contact us and we can have an informal chat with you and your youth organisation.
Our trek routes and campsites are not currently accessible for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility that prevents them walking for several hours at time on uneven ground.
-
Pendragon Project is a small social enterprise so we can currently only offer a limited number of spaces on our expeditions.
Working with partner organisations, who support your application, allows us to ensure you have all the information you need and we are properly supporting the needs of each young person on our expedition.
