ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSIVITY
Pendragon Project works continuously to improve the accessibility of our team building activities to ensure that everyone can be meaningfully involved. Let us know about any accessibility needs in advance and we’ll make adaptations where appropriate so everyone can participate comfortably.
The focus of The Hunt activity is on teamwork and strategy, not fitness or speed. The fitness requirement is that all participants should feel comfortable walking at pace for up to 2 hours on uneven terrain, including hills.
We can facilitate several game adaptations to ensure the activity is inclusive for everyone attending:
IMMUNITY TOKENS
Players who want to be involved but are anxious about the experience of being hunted can be discreetly provided with immunity tokens. Hunters will solely focus on interacting with other members of their team.
ALPHA TEAMS
If there are a number of people who do not wish to be hunted, one or more Alpha teams can be designated. These teams will complete mission objectives and decipher the conspiracy, but they will not interact at all with the Hunters.
MISSION COMMAND
For anyone who is unable to participate physically, they can take on a Mission Command role where they will remotely support their team to complete its objectives via walkie talkie from our static basecamp.
The activity is suitable and inclusive for participants for whom English is not their first language. We have adaptations to ensure that all game instructions and safety guidance are clearly understood.
WE ARE A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
When booking with us and investing in your own team, you are also supporting our social mission to empower young people facing complex transitions into adulthood.

The Hunt is an outdoor escape and evade scavenger hunt game.
Assemble a team and attempt to complete a series of missions whilst evading capture from a team of specialist Hunters who are trying to track you down.
The game is about teamwork and strategy. You will need to plot your route through the map using a provided map. You will retrieve hidden intelligence capsules which will contain clues to decipher and challenges to complete.
There are also safezones on the map, where you’ll will be safe from capture by the Hunter. You must remain vigilant as the Hunters will disguise themselves as members of the public.
At the end of your mission, you will return to basecamp where we will debrief your mission and calculate your score.
You will be met at the meeting point by the Pendragon Project team who will brief you on your mission and provide your game equipment. They will be on-site throughout the activity.

The Hunt is suitable for a broad range of abilities and fitness levels. The game is about teamwork and strategy, not fitness or speed. We encourage all teams to play it at their own pace.
Participants must be comfortable walking at pace for up to 2 hours. The game is player on established paths and trails. The terrain can be uneven at times and there are hills with a gentle gradient. Trails can be muddy after rain.
There is no obligation to run away from the Hunters, unless you wish to!
The Hunt is an accessible activity. Please see ACCESSIBILITY section for details of game adaptations.

The Hunt is suitable for children and young people but we do have supervision guidelines.
For young adults aged 14-17, we permit them to play in a team of their own as long as a supervising adult is present on-site (either with the team or waiting at the meeting point). For certain groups, we may require a supervising adult to be present in each team.
For children aged 10-13, they can enjoy The Hunt as part of a team with at least one adult.
We generally recommend that The Hunt is not suitable for under-10s as it involves upto 2 hours of walking. However, if parents are confident that this would not be a problem for their child then we’re happy for them to be involved.
Parents have carried infants whilst playing, but this is entirely at the discretion of the parent.

We’ve had lots of pregnant players take part in the activity, including right up to 8 months, but it of course comes down to how they’re feeling at that particular stage and indeed on the day itself. Please see below our guidance on participating whilst pregnant – we’re happy for them to participate if they deem themselves able to:
We strive to make The Hunt activity accessible for a broad range of ages and abilities. We stress to all players that it is about teamwork and strategy, not fitness or speed. During our safety briefing, we stress that teams must play the game at a pace they are comfortable with.
Our minimum fitness requirement, for all players, is that they should feel comfortable walking at pace for up to 2 hours, including hills.
Participants who are pregnant will need to make that assessment as to whether they’re feeling up to those demands at their stage of pregnancy. We have had plenty of pregnant players take part before and can provide the following options for them:They can be provided with a discreet immunity token, which they can deploy when a Hunter is close by. This means that the Hunters will target other members of their team, who may want to hastily try and get to a safezone
They will have a map of the area, so if at any point during the activity they want to return to the start/finish, they can do so
There is a café at the meeting point, so if they’re not feeling up to participating when the day comes, they can chill with a nice beverage for the 90 mins or so that their team will be competing

Depending on your group size, we will advise on how best to split your group.
We recommend that teams are no larger than 12 players in each, for example if you are a party of 16 we would recommend splitting into 2 teams.

If there are multiple teams, all will be evading the Hunters but will be in competition with each other to complete the mission.
Have a think about it, you don’t need to decide anything in advance.
